MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 163

Welcome to Phish.net's Mystery Jam Monday, Part 163. The winner will receive an MP3 download courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, you'll need to be the first person to identify the song and date of the mystery jam clip. Each person gets one guess per day, with the second “day” starting after I post the hint. A hint will be posted on Tuesday if necessary, with the answer to follow on Wednesday. Good luck!

Answer: Kudos to another first-time winner this week, as @bostonron deftly identified the 8/11/04 Down with Disease.

frankzappasmustache2012 Well it's in Dm as far as I can tell. I feel like it could be early 90s or 2.0. I thought Stash at first but after listening through a couple I'm pretty sure Stash never got as slow as the mystery jam.

BTW, these two Great Woods 2004 shows were awesome (8/10 and 11/04). Sure, August '04 is a mess. These two shows are true diamonds in the rough

I'm pretty sure you're right: PhishTracks Link.

Check out the 14:00 mark.

Kudos!

melt_the_tek9 Trey has an amazing loop going on and Mike's sound is too clear (playing with a pick and sounds like his second Modulus) to be pre-1998 or maybe 99. I got nothing

Yeah it's definitely this jam. Good catch!
, comment by mcgrupp81
mcgrupp81 Well that's two mystery jams in a row where I was at the show. Fun show and expensive. Was at a buddy's house and met up with an on-duty cop in a Burger King parking lot and paid way above face to secure tickets. After that exchange, I was rushing on the way back to my buddy's house to try and find a Coventry ticket online and wound up bumping this old guy's car. It produced a hole on the bumper about a 1/8 of an inch and it cost me $400+.

uctweezer Nice work @bostonron! I spent the little time I had to the MJM searching Ghosts from 1999 - 2004... There really is some good stuff in August 2004. Almost like death bed euphoria in a way. It's dark, scary, and oddly comforting.

Jackaroe Since this is solved, can anyone chime in on Halloween rumors? Very little banter this year about what might be coming. I'm speculating that we may get one of the mega-albums that are popular favorites: American Beauty, Eat a Peach, Electric Ladyland, Houses of the Holy, etc.

I agree, my pick of your suggestions is American beauty. I have gotten the sense they are more comfortable with maybe doing a dead album. I guess after 30 years of proving how amazing of a band and unique band they are they, could make them more comforatble doing a band that they clichely (I dunno if that's a word) wold get compared to. Early on Itvseems like they hesitated to do anything dead because the countless comments people would say "comparing" the 2 bands
