I understand the rigors of recapping a show on this site...I have done it a couple times. You do it for free and out of sheer appreciation for and love of this band and the scene. You also open yourself up to other's critiquing your work. I know that, from time to time, my comments might come across as divisive. I have some strong opinions when it comes to this band. I have also been on the receiving end of other's strong opinions. I welcome and respect their perspective. We come here as much to debate as we do to praise and lift each other up. That's what makes this community great. But when someone represents another person's work or words as their own, that doesn't jive with me. Just because you volunteer for this gig doesn't make you exempt from citing sources. Especially when the source is another volunteer who wrote the song history.
